About us

Rural to Action Organization is an active non-profit community-based organization led by youth and driven by the community. It started in 2022 as a peer mentorship group for teen mothers guided by mentors Joseph Were and Beryl Adenyo. The group was then officially registered in accordance with the Community Groups Registration Act No. 30 of 2022 and the Kenyan Constitution as Community-Based Organization Registration No: CBO/HUD/HB/0449/2023. Our primary goal is to enhance the lives of young individuals in rural Homabay communities. Founded on values of compassion, inclusivity, and sustainability, our organization is devoted to breaking the cycle of hunger among children in rural primary schools and poverty through youth economic empowerment and community led research.

Dedicated to rural development, Rural to Action provides a range of services and solutions tailored to the specific needs of children and youth in rural communities. We address the distinct challenges facing children and work towards their progress and empowerment. Through diverse initiatives and programs, we aim to enhance access to education, healthcare, and other vital services in the communities, striving to develop sustainable and inclusive rural communities where children and youths can flourish and achieve their full potential through collaborating with local communities and fostering partnerships with other organizations, we aim to establish a sustainable and inclusive environment for all.
