School Wellness Program

As a result of high cost of living in the country, many families struggle to make ends meet and provide food for their children. This has led to many young children going to school on an empty stomach, hindering their ability to learn. We are Implementing sustainable a school wellness program to give Cup of porridge every day with a goal of feeding 800 children in 2024 and 10,000 children by 2030 to ensure every child has access to nutritious meals during school time to reenergize for better learning.

youth economic empowerment

Rural to action offers vocational training and skill development programs in the community to equip youth with the tools needed for economic independence with an aim of reducing the triple threat (HIV/AIDS, gender-based violence and teenage pregnancies) that disproportionately burdens youths especially girls in Homabay. We empower youths in the rural community on community gardening, Poultry, Beeding, street business and other income-generating activities to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities and to become resilient, independent and financially sustainable thus improving their living standards and reducing poverty.
